At Your Time Fitness I have made it my mission to help you live a better life through fitness. Although incorporating exercise into your life isn't the only way to live better; having more energy, being stronger, feeling better and looking trimmer is an important foundational component to your overall well-being.

Whether you’re new to exercise or a “fitness freak”, workouts are hard. Therefore, I’ve designed my studio to make your exercise experience fun, not a chore. For that reason, it is important for me to make your experience a positive one and to help you achieve your goals. I am interested in results, your results. I will provide you with the instruction, motivation, and tools to help you reach the level of fitness, strength and performance that before you wouldn’t have dreamed possible.

 How is my studio different than a gym? My studio is small, making my classes more hands on and personalized for everyone, whether it is a personal training session, small group training or a group class.

I was a gymnast for 11 years, but when that ended and I went to college, I wasn’t as active as I used to be and I started gaining weight. I blew past the freshmen 15 and got to the point where I wasn’t happy with how I looked or felt. I decided 10 years ago that I needed to make a change and really start taking care of myself again. I signed up for my first 5k to hold myself accountable for my workouts. This was the beginning of my fitness journey, as I was bitten by the fitness bug.  

My niece (Thanks Alicia) talked me into going to one of her Zumba classes with her when I was visiting her at college.  I was hooked by the first song and came back home knowing I had to teach that class. I was surprised that my Minnesota Norwegian hips could pick up the Latin movement but they did (it took awhile for them to loosen up).  I started teaching a couple classes a week and I just couldn’t get enough, so I got certified in other formats so I could expand my classes.

I was teaching classes at night and that was going well but I felt that something was missing. My “day” job was getting in the way with my passion for health and fitness.  I realized I needed to make the jump and take my fun job to the next level. I decided to open my own studio so I could help more people live a healthy lifestyle.   Today, I have my own studio in Le Sueur offering personal training, small group training and small group fitness classes. I am also a certified health coach which expands further into the nutrition aspect of a healthy lifestyle.

I am certified by American Council on Exercise® as a personal trainer and Health Coach and National Exercise Trainers Association in group fitness. I hold an associate’s degree in Health Fitness from Minnesota School of Business.  I am also certified in numerous group fitness formats such as Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumbatomic, Aqua Zumba, PiYo, and Silver Sneakers MSROM.
